Luas services run to a planned frequency and operating pattern.

Green Line trams operate:

  • Brides Glen – Broombridge – Brides Glen
  • Sandyford – Parnell – Sandyford

Red Line trams operate:

  • Tallaght – The Point – Tallaght
  • Saggart – Connolly – Saggart

Tram frequency serves demand. Trams are most frequent at peak morning and peak evening times and frequency is a bit lower during the day and at night.

A service disruption occurs when trams are unable to operate as scheduled. While we work hard to provide a reliable service, disruptions can occasionally happen for a variety of reasons, including medical emergencies, technical issues affecting trams or infrastructure, incidents involving road users, vehicles obstructing the tracks, traffic congestion at junctions, severe weather conditions, or other unforeseen events.

When a disruption occurs, Luas Drivers and the Operations Team work quickly to restore normal service as safely and efficiently as possible.

Throughout any disruption, our teams are committed to keeping customers informed.Updates are provided through announcements on trams and at stops, as well as via our website and online channels, helping passengers plan their journeys with the latest available information.
